Digital-Products-On-Website

As a Non-Gujarati, I often reflect on the potential impact of belonging to the Gujarati community on my success. The concept of preferential treatment based on ethnicity is a recurring theme. It's interesting to note how in Ahmedabad, Gujarati entrepreneurs sometimes prioritize individuals from their community, even if they may be less skilled, over more qualified Non-Gujaratis. This trend appears to be less prominent in Surat or Baroda, sparking curiosity about the underlying factors at play.

This phenomenon is notably more prevalent in the private sector than in the public sector, with a substantial 99% incidence rate. The implications of such preferences raise important questions about meritocracy and the influence of cultural connections on professional prospects.

A noteworthy exception to this trend was my close friend Dipak Amrutlal Khambhayata, a genuine Kathiawadi Gujarati. Our friendship blossomed when I undertook the Statutory Audit of his private limited company, M/s CIP MACHINERIES PVT LTD, back in 1995, almost exactly 30 years ago. Over time, I also took on the responsibility of managing the Company's Income-Tax returns, both corporate and personal.

In 1999, I was appointed as the Factory Controller when their new factory facility at GIDC Vatva Phase IV was established. Dipak entrusted me with overseeing all financial matters within the Company, a decision that truly amazed me!

Coming to the present day, from September 2024, I have started my own Digital Showroom, while continuing to be a partner in M/s Kartik T. Vayeda & Co., Chartered Accountants. All my life, I have done things in ways that have been quite unconventional, and this is no exception.

I was, am and will continue to be a financial and technological trouble-shooter. People who see my website often wonder why there are no products on display there. But my question, which nobody can answer is that how can you have a Digital Products which can cater to more than a million customers? Unfortunately, three decades of my life have been devoted to troubleshooting problems faced by clients of my past CA Firm(s) that I have worked with.

Eventually, there will be digital products on display there, just as soon as I complete my studies on Python Programming and Artificial Intelligence, so I guess, those people will have to wait till then!!

Toodle-Ooo, CIAO, Sayonara and Cheers Old Chap!!
